1934 Hex Receiver Izhevsk Mosin-Nagant 91/30

Well I didn't get to go to that gun show... I slept right through my alarm! After doing some thinking it would be wiser to buy an Arsenal AK-74 which costs twice as much but as my friend said "With arsenal you get quality, with Century Arms International you wonder if the builder had his ration of vodka that night or not" Here's a pic of my Mosin Nagant I took a few minutes ago for you guys. I absolutely love the furniture on this gun. Also my German Flecktarn parka just came in the mail from Swisslink.com! I'm rather amazed at how fast this blog is taking off! Thanks everyone for your input. It is greatly appreciated.

  1. That's a beautiful looking gun.

We're not enthusiasts or anything, but we have a collection of 21+ rifles and shotguns, just sort of piled up over time. Father owns a military-surplus tire business, so by default you get a lot of ex-military, and they're always willing to do trades.

  13. Cool gun, ak74 don't you mean an ak47? or is that a different version, sorry I know nothing about guns.

  14. @darkmax You're right it is a different version. :) The AK-47 was introduced in 1947 and fired the 7.62x39mm round and the AK-74 was introduced in 1974 firing the 5.45x39mm. The AK-74 is really just a modernized AK-74 that fires a different round. There's a lot of detail you can go into about the differences of the two but I won't do that right nowl :) Maybe a new post will cover that in the future!

  21. Sweet rifle man. I would go with the Arsenal AK. No reason to risk your life over a little bit of money.
